Yogurt restaurant planned in West Allis
Orange Leaf Yogurt plans to open a restaurant at 10922 W. National Ave., West Allis. The building was formerly a Taco Bell restaurant and more recently was used as an Enterprise car rental facility. The plans include a complete interior and exterior remodeling of the 1,754-square-foot building including a new, higher roof.

Tim O’Brien Homes gets green certification
Tim O’Brien Homes recently received a “emerald certification” from the National Green Building Standard on a new home it built in the city of Waukesha neighborhood of Dunbar Oaks. Tim O’Brien Homes is the first Wisconsin homebuilder to earn the certification.

City of Milwaukee to sell homes
The city of Milwaukee will host a spring homeownership fair on Saturday, April 28, from 8a.m. – 12p.m. at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago St., Milwaukee. The city will sell homes for as little as $5,000. Attendees will also be able to learn about hundreds of bank-owned and city-owned foreclosed properties that are for sale.

Another rug store on Silver Spring
People in Whitefish Bay often joke about the disproportionate number of rug stores within a couple blocks of each other on Silver Spring Drive, but a Cedarburg rug store owner sees that as a good thing. Rustam Gallery of fine Rugs received its conditional use permit from the village’s Plan Commission last week, with plans to open a store on the street. Frozen Yougurt restaurant coming to Whitefish Bay
CherryBerry frozen yogurt has the go-ahead to open one of its first Wisconsin locations on Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay. CherryBerry received its conditional use permit from the Whitefish Bay Plan Commission last week, giving it permission to do business in the 1,615-square-foot space between Dunkin’ Donuts and the incoming ATI Physical Therapy.
