“Public Enemies,” Gala and pre-screening event to be held in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee County Historical Society will host a Gala and “Public Enemies” pre-screening on Tuesday, June 30. The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a reception at the Milwaukee County Historical Society in downtown Milwaukee and then a preview screening will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the Marcus Majestic Ultra-Screen Theater in Brookfield. Tickets to the event are still available.

Tickets for the reception and movie screening start at $125 and film-only tickets are on sale for $25. The event will feature a red carpet entrance, classic cars, vintage costumes, hors d’oeuvres provided by the Intercontinental Hotel and beverages provided by local breweries and gin mills. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in period attire and pose for a picture. Local TV and radio personality Gino Salomone will host the event.

Proceeds from the screening, made possible by Universal Pictures and the Marcus Corporation will benefit Film Wisconsin and the Milwaukee County Historical Center. As part of the event a Bruce Springsteen autographed guitar is available for bidding on eBay until June 30 at http://tinyurl.com/lbl7uw. The pre-screening event at the Historical Center will also include several auction items, including a New York City Weekend Getaway for two with airfare on AirTran Airways, room at the Four Seasons, dinner at Tao and tickets to the hit revival of “Hair.” Celebrity autographed items from Denis Leary, John Michael Bolger, Mark Metcalf, Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford will also be featured.
