The Milwaukee office of Wipfli, Wausau, hired Kimberly Fruit as a staff accountant and Christopher Peterson as a consultant for the SpiderLogic division.

Matthew Spaanem joined Boelter + Lincoln, Milwaukee, as interactive designer. Spaanem holds a bachelor’s degree from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD).

Openfirst, a Quad/Graphics Company, Milwaukee, hired Christine Collins as a program manager, Patrick Hayes as a network administrator and Michael Vengrowsky as an application development programmer. Collins holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Stout. Hayes holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Vengrowsky holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from UW-Green Bay.

Russell McLaughlin joined AG Architecture, Milwaukee, as an architect. McLaughlin has 16 years of senior living design experience.

Community Bank & Trust, Sheboygan, promoted Janis Fink to assistant vice president of deposit support services. Fink has more than 15 years of banking experience and has been with Community Bank & Trust for eight years.

Susan Buchholz joined Layton State Bank, Greendale, as a new loan administration officer. Buchholz will be located at the Milwaukee office. She has more than 20 years of loan experience and previously served as a loan service representative for Marine Bank, Pewaukee.

First Bank Financial Centre, Oconomowoc, promoted John Lynch to first vice president and chief lending officer; Mark McCune to senior vice president and commercial loan sales manager; Rick Vander Veen to executive vice president and chief operating officer; and Stacy Bohmsack to vice president of retail and operations manager.

Gregory Mahalick joined Asset Management for Professionals, Mequon, as an investment advisor and partner. Mahalick previously worked for GE Healthcare for 10 years. He holds a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on investment finance from Marquette University.

Building & Construction

Debbie Minor joined Carl Krueger Construction, Milwaukee, as an estimator. Minor has experience in the restoration and remodeling field.

Brent Watanabe joined Phillip Katz Project Development, Milwaukee, as an associate focusing on residential and liturgical design projects. Wantanabe holds a master’s degree in architecture from UW-Milwaukee.

MLG Development, Brookfield, promoted Michael F. Jilek, Jr. to director of land acquisition. Jilek has been with MLG Development more four years and most recently served as a development coordinator.

Debbie Griffiths of AT&T; Marcia Lindholm of the City of Milwaukee and Mark Wesolowski of Wisconsin Public Service joined the board of directors for Diggers Hotline, New Berlin.

Fitness Centers

Chris Carman joined Phantom Lake YMCA, Mukwonago, as interim chief executive officer. Carman has more than 10 years of experience in business leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from UW-Madison.

Health Care

Dr. Jutta Novalija joined the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, as assistant professor of anesthesiology and the medical staff of the VA Medical Center- Milwaukee. Novalija’s patient care emphasis is on cardiovascular anesthesia with a special focus on transesophageal echocardiography.

Richard Cieslak joined the American Cancer Society Midwest Division, St. Paul, Minn., as the director of brand strategies for the Midwest Division including Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Cieslak has more than 15 years of marketing, brand management and public relations experience and most recently served as a manager of customer communications for Wisconsin Energy, Milwaukee.

Legal Services

Michael VanLente joined Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, Milwaukee, as an associate in the intellectual property department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hope College, a doctoral degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from Case School of Law.

Saul Winsten joined the Brookfield office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Madison, as a shareholder. Winston focuses his practice on business and organizational challenges, commercial transactions, legal compliance, joint ventures, governance, technology development and protection, litigation management and advocacy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Beloit College and a law degree from Drake University Law School.

Antonia Holland joined Godfrey & Kahn, Milwaukee, in the intellectual property practice group. Holland is a patent attorney and focuses her practice on patent prosecution, licensing and litigation support in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food science, agricultural and mechanical arts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from UW-Madison and a law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Noleta Jansen, an attorney in the trusts and estates practice group with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, Milwaukee, joined the board of directors of the Milwaukee Aging Consortium.

Mueller Graphic Supply, West Allis, hired Dale Schmitt as vice president of sales and promoted Rick Burich to integrated solution sales. Schmitt previously worked for Kodak
Polychrome Graphics, Norwalk, Conn., for 20 years. Burich has been with Mueller Graphic Supply for 11 years.

Professional Sports

Craig Stoehr, chairman of the Milwaukee Mile, West Allis, joined the board of directors of Wisconsin Sports Development Corp. (WSDC), Madison. Stoehr owns Badger Pacific Equity Partners, a private equity investment company with partners in California. Badger Pacific Equity Partners serves as the promoter of The Milwaukee Mile with a group of local Wisconsin investors.

Real Estate

Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, hired Rick Geracie in the Elmbrook/Wauwatosa office, Shaun Pinkston in the Kenosha office and Sonja Blatz in the Waukesha office. Geracie most recently served as a teacher and coach at Wauwatosa West High  School. Pinkston has 15 years of sales experience, including two years of real estate experience. Blatz has 28 years of real estate experience.

Ray Thomas joined the West Allis location of HomeSale Realty, Wauwatosa, as a real estate agent. Thomas worked under Re/Max for 12 years.

Retail

Wendy Gowan joined Markey Day Gourmet, Itasca, Ill., as a consultant in Menomonee Falls.

Technology

Roger Kaufman joined MasterLink, Menomonee Falls, as wireless product manager. Kaufman previously worked for General Electric, Fairfield, Conn., for 16 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology management from UW-Platteville.

Training & Development

Michelle Fronsee joined Sales Progress, Mequon, as sales leader. Fronsee has more than five years of sales management experience and 15 years of experience in sales. Most recently, Fronsee served as regional sales manager for Lakeside Manufacturing, Milwaukee.
