The VanderBloemen Group in Waukesha has named Christopher Zuzick director of marketing and business development. In this newly created position, Zuzick will focus on generating more business opportunities for the company and overseeing branding and marketing initiatives. He has 25 years of professional experience.

Milwaukee-based Mueller Communications, Inc. has promoted Melanie Hochschild to account coordinator. Hochschild previously served as a public relations trainee with the agency. She will now draft communications materials in collaboration with client teams, devote attention to media relations and event planning, and organize marketing and public affairs initiatives. The firm also recently hired John Forristal as an account coordinator. Forristal, whose previous experience includes interning at Cramer-Krasselt, in Northwestern Mutual’s PR Division, and on U.S. Senator Tom Harkin’s press team, will fulfill the same responsibilities as Hochschild.

Josh Naylor has joined Menomonee Falls-based Nalani Services, Inc. as a graphic and Web designer. Naylor has graphic communications and Spanish degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the Universidad de Belgrano.

Primum Marketing Communications, located in Milwaukee, has promoted Kristen Davis to director of client services. Davis previously worked for the agency as an account supervisor. She will now be responsible for supervising client projects, managing communication with clients and assisting staff with marketing and public relations efforts. The firm has also hired Dustin Vrab as a PR account executive. Vrab, who most recently worked for Kohl’s Department Stores, will contribute to the development of public relations plans for clients as well as assist with written communications and marketing.

Chad Bauman has been named managing director of The Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Bauman’s previous experience includes serving as associate executive director at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C. At The Rep, he will oversee day-to-day operations as well as administrative and technology functions. Bauman will also lead the 180-member staff, be responsible for fiscal management and foster leadership development. His new position is effective June 1.

Northern Trust has hired Marybeth Cottrill as a wealth strategist in the Milwaukee office. Cottrill has almost 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. At Northern Trust, she will develop relationships with business leaders, their families and enterprises to deliver on their financial goals. She will also pinpoint investment, banking and wealth transfer options to accommodate clients’ needs.

Prime Financial Credit Union (PFCU), Cudahy, has added Mitdara Thippanya as a mortgage processor. The company also recently promoted Amy Goratowski to director of human resources. Goratowski has worked in human resources at PFCU since 2001.

CG Schmidt Inc., headquartered in Milwaukee, has named Mike Baenen project executive. Baenen brings 25 years of construction experience in Wisconsin to his new position. His previous clients include Aurora Health Care, Harley Davidson, Ministry Healthcare, BP, and Froedtert Health. In his new role, Baenen will manage the company’s renewable energy projects in the Special Projects Division.

Pam Swanson has joined EmPowerHR’s Milwaukee office as an HR and payroll administrator. Swanson brings more than 12 years of administrative experience to her new position.

Teig Whaley-Smith has been appointed economic development director of Milwaukee County. Whaley-Smith brings more than a decade of experience in economic development to his new position. He founded Community Development Advocates, a legal and development firm that represents nonprofit involved in inner-city housing and commercial revitalization, and has served as an adjunct professor of law at Marquette University Law School. He also previously served as the executive director and primary administrator of the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District.

Tom Evenson has been appointed press secretary for Gov. Scott Walker. Evenson most recently served as the communications director for State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. He has also served as the communications director for the Friends of Scott Walker and as a communications assistant in the Office of Gov. Walker. Evenson will take over for Cullen Werwie, who has been named agency communications liaison at the Department of Administration. In addition to working as Walker’s press secretary, Werwie has also worked in the Legislature in the Wisconsin State Senate and State Assembly.

Mike Mallwitz has been appointed board vice chair for the Granville Business Improvement District. Mallwitz is president of Milwaukee-based Busch Precision Inc. In his new leadership role, he will help develop revitalization programs to boost activity in the Granville area of far northwest Milwaukee.

The State of Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) has welcomed Kim Santos as head of the Office of Credit Unions (OCU). The DFI also recently hired Georgia Maxwell as executive assistant. In addition, Michael Mach, division banking administrator for the DFI, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s state liaison committee.

Rogers Memorial Hospital has appointed Lynette Marshall director of nursing at its Oconomowoc facility. Marshall has more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health care and management and has specialized in caring for patients with eating disorders. She belongs to the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the Association for Nursing Professional Development. She has also been certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult psychiatric-mental health clinical nurse specialist. At Rogers Memorial Hospital, Marshall will oversee nursing services, work as a liaison to various hospital departments, take charge of care for a range of patients, and assist with patient care issues as they develop.

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) has added Dr. Kathryn Flynn as assistant professor of medicine in general internal medicine. Flynn will participate in research efforts in the MCW Cancer Center and the Center for Patient Care & Outcomes Research. She will center her research on measuring and analyzing patient-reported outcomes and cancer survivorships as well as patient decision making. Flynn’s previous experience includes working as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine.

Pizza Man has named Heather Korte general manager of its new Milwaukee location set to open in June. Korte is a Level II Certified Sommelier and has worked at the Pfister Hotel’s Blu, Trocadero, Osteria del Mondo, American Club in Kohler, and Mason Street Grill.

The Kohler Co. Global Hospitality Group, based in Kohler, Wis., has promoted Christine Loose to director of hotels at The American Club Resort Hotel and Inn on Woodlake. In her new position, Loose will manage the hotels’ reservations, food and beverage operations, telecommunications, and maintenance and safety operations, and she will focus on accommodating patrons with superior guest service. The company also recently promoted Anette Rose Righi to Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates Lead Chocolatier. Righi, who has been a cook for the Kohler Co.’s Craverie Chocolatier Café, will create the company’s signature Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates.

Kenneth Hallett, a partner of Quarles & Brady LLP, has been appointed national Corporate Services Practice Group chair. Hallett works out of the firm’s Milwaukee office. Joseph Masterson has been appointed Corporate Services Practice Group chair of the firm’s Milwaukee office.

Richard Heyer has joined Balestrieri Environmental & Development, Inc. in Elkhorn. He will serve as project coordinator and will assist project managers, develop customer relations and attend to proposal follow-ups.

Brookfield-based Spectrum Communication Services Inc. has promoted three staff members. Chrissy Slaske will assist with client relations in sales, Mike Guzman will take on the role of administrative assistant, and Aaron Robertson will manage the company’s online marketing initiatives. All three employees previously worked as operators.

Anick & Associates, located in Wauwatosa, has added Dan Corry as vice president of client services. Corry has more than 30 years of financial management experience in the health and human services sector. During his career, he has managed the financial operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, and Aurora Family Service among other nonprofit organizations.

Albert Seecharan has been hired as president of Reusable Packaging Management services at Oconomowoc-based ORBIS Corporation. Seecharan will oversee the service line to support customer satisfaction.

Spancrete, headquartered in Waukesha, has hired Patrick Geenen as director of construction services. Geenen previously fulfilled management leadership roles at Vinton Construction and Berghammer Construction. The company has also expanded the role of Dan Willems, vice president and general manager of global services, to managing director of corporate development. Willems will create new precast products and focus on value-added service offerings among other added responsibilities.

Waukesha-based DUECO Inc. has appointed Adam Tischer territory manager for Northern Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. Tischer began working for the company in 2005 as an installation mechanic before being promoted to schematic engineer, inside sales coordinator and customer solutions coordinator.

Milwaukee-based Fondy Food Center has added four executives to its board of directors. New directors are David Frazer, a public health research and program manager at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health’s Center for Urban Population Health; Dr. Sophie Kramer, an internist with Columbia-St. Mary’s community physicians; Scott McFadden chief executive officer and president of The Lutheran Home and Harwood Place; and Monica Zimmer, director of global public relations for Johnson Controls’ building efficiency.

Lisa Glover, executive vice president and director of community affairs for U.S. Bank, has been appointed chair of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) advisory board in Milwaukee. Glover has been involved with the Milwaukee chapter for the past five years and also serves as chair of the audit committee for the national organization.

Jamie Mathee, vice president of U.S. Bank, has been named board chair of Community Health Charities of Wisconsin for 2013-14.

Milwaukee-based Commercial Property Associates, Inc. has named Ross Koepsel and Tom Treder partners. Koepsel has been with Commercial Property Associates, Inc. since 2002, and Treder was added to the company in 2007. Both Koepsel and Treder obtained the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2010 and belong to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Retail Brokers Network (RBN).
