Phone provider opens new ‘interactive’ store in Brookfield

U.S. Cellular recently opened a new high-concept interactive store at 16720 W. Bluemound Road, in Brookfield. The new store features 4500 square-feet of interactive space complete with touch screen digital technology and a convenient cueing station designed to make waiting in line more productive for customers.
“We’re always trying to enhance our customer’s experience,” said Laurie Poellinger, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Wisconsin. “We’ve done that at the new store using technology, the new Brookfield store is much more customer friendly; it’s easier for our customers to access the store as well as get the services and products they need in a convenient, efficient manner.”
The Brookfield store is only the third store of its kind for U.S. Cellular in the entire country, Poellinger said.
The store also has a lounge area for customers and U.S. Cellular associates to engage or get work done while waiting for an associate to assist them, she said.
“Our team members are really excited to bring this type of store to the Brookfield area,” she said. “It’s the perfect complement to our cutting-edge device lineup, nationwide high-speed network and the unique benefits of being a U.S. Cellular customer.”
The new store has 22 associates and will watch store activity closely over the next few months in order to evaluate if more employees are needed, Poellinger said.

State launches Harley vanity license plates
Wisconsin motorists have a new opportunity to support motorcycle safety initiatives throughout the state by buying vanity license plates saluting Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
The company announced today it is partnering with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to offer the first-ever Harley-Davidson branded automotive license plate to motorists in Wisconsin.
The plate will be available for automobiles, light trucks and motor homes. The cost of the plates will include any regular registration fees that apply along with a $15 issuance fee and an annual $25 donation.
The annual donation will help support safety initiatives throughout the state. The plates can also be personalized (standard annual fees apply) and can be purchased at any time, not just when a motorist renews their registration.
"Rider safety is critically important to all of us at Harley-Davidson," said Matt Levatich, chief operating officer and president, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. "We are pleased to partner with the state and help increase awareness and support for motorcycle safety programs that further enhance rider safety and driver awareness in Wisconsin."
The new license plate is the first and only Harley-Davidson branded plate available in the United States, and it is only being offered in Wisconsin.
The plate was designed in collaboration with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Styling Team. The words "Share the Road" are displayed to emphasize the importance of motorcycle safety.
