What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays – Run 5-15 miles, Weight training Tuesdays, Thursdays – 45 min Spinning Fridays off."
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"The best life improvement I notice from working out is a greater ability to handle tense situations and a reduction in levels of stress resulting is a better night’s sleep."
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"My greatest problem solving sessions occur during long runs. When I am absolutely stuck on a problem I lace up my shoes and go for a run. Nine times out of ten, I will come up with the answer during my run and I can not wait to get back to the office start working on the solution."
Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?
"Yes."
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"Keeps the organization fresh and energized."
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"Encourage your employees to join a gym or start a physical fitness program. Offer time during the day to work out…Your employees will return to work fresh and much more productive and consider the time to be a great benefit."
