Three M&I Bank branches in the Milwaukee area are slated for closure, according to a filing with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Resources. The branch locations are:
- 5300 S. 76th St. in Greendale
- 9900 W. Innovation Drive in Wauwatosa
- 120 E. Washington St. in Port Washington
The 76th Street location is inside of Southridge Mall, a bank spokeswoman said today. M&I also has a large full-service branch about 225 yards away in the mall’s parking lot, where customers can still conduct their banking business.
The branch on Innovation Drive is for GE employees only and has restricted public access. There are six other branches within a two and one-half mile radius, the bank says. The Port Washington location is a drive-up only location. M&I has a full-service location two and one-half miles away.
There will be no job losses because of the closures, M&I said.
Racine-based Johnson Bank plans to close its branch at 207 Pine Avenue West in Menomonee, the DFI database shows. The closure will be the bank’s eighth announced this year.
In recent months, the bank has announced it will close four branches in Arizona, as well as branches in Racine, Sheboygan and Lake Geneva.
