Menomonee Falls Chamber names Wandschneider executive director
John F. Wandschneider has been appointed executive director of the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce. He joined the Chamber on a part-time basis effective Nov. 1, and will take full-time responsibilities effective Jan. 1. He and his wife Julie have been residents of Menomonee Falls since 1992.
In January of 2000, Wandschneider took early retirement from Bradley Corp. where he served as vice president for corporate human resources for 30 years. Prior employment was with Outboard Marine Corp. and Dow Corning Corp.
Since his retirement, he has been visiting professor of management at Concordia University of Wisconsin, in Mequon, where he teaches various business courses.
In addition to teaching. he served as president of his own management consulting firm, David Lee & Associates.
During the past 30 years, Wandschneider has been very involved in the community. He has served as president of the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the board of directors for several years. He was a member of the Community Memorial Hospital board of directors and was the first president of the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation. He has served as a member of several committees for the Menomonee Falls School District, and is a current member of the Menomonee Falls Police & Fire Commission.
Wandschneider also was a member of the board of directors for Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce Business World statewide educational program, and served as a member of the Governor’s Commission on Education for the Year 2000.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and psychology from Carroll College in Waukesha. His master’s degree in management is from Cardinal Stritch University in Fox Point. His doctorate was earned in administration and management from Walden University in Minneapolis.
