Learn more about:

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer Inc. recently purchased the 17.5 acre site in the Drexel Town Square development in Oak Creek where it plans to build a 192,940-square-foot store. Meijer bought the site for $7 million from One West Drexel LLC, an affiliate of Wispark LLC. Proceeds of the land sale will be shared with the city of Oak Creek.

Drexel Town Square is an 85-acre mixed-use development at the former Delphi plant site southwest of Drexel and Howell Avenues. The project will be built by a development team led by Wispark.

In addition to the Meijer store, the project will include a new City Hall, library, town square park, apartments and additional retail space including a mixed-use main street. The project will essentially create a downtown for the city of Oak Creek.
