Russ “Rocky” Marchiando has been promoted to the position of packaging plant manager for St. Francis-based Wixon, a manufacturer of seasonings, flavors, ingredients, and consumer products for the food and beverage industry.
Marchiando will be responsible for the management and results of all operations of Wixon’s multiple plants, including supervising production lines and processing activities; improving plant performance; overseeing facility staff to attain production and operational goals; and monitoring product results to ensure they meet established standards.
He joined Wixon in 1995 and previously served as quality director. He has a strong background in the ISO 9001 quality management standard and is currently involved in Wixon’s implementation of the globally-recognized food safety standard FSSC 22000 for certification this year.
