Melek Jalal has been named president of Albany, N.Y.-based Innovation Fuels, a biodiesel company. Jalal is co-founder of the company and previously served as its chief strategy officer. Innovation Fuels purchased a 310,000 barrel capacity terminal on Milwaukee’s Jones Island in January. The company plans to use it for the production and distribution of biofuels in and out of the Midwest.
Thomas Walker Sr., has been appointed president and CEO of Grede Foundries Inc. Walker was previously head of Walker & Associates LLC, a management advisory firm. He will succeed Bruce Jacobs, who was the company’s president and CEO since 1987.
