What was the smartest thing your company did in the past year?
“We made talent interviews part of our hiring process to ensure top talent at all levels of our company, which translates to ‘best in class’ customer service.”
What’s new at your company?
“Last January, we expanded our business with a fully integrated luxury spa in a state-of-the-art clinical yet indulgent setting, to complement our successful medical aesthetics practice.”
Do you plan to hire any additional staff or make any significant capital investments in your company in the next year?
“Yes, we continue to grow and will require additional top talent. In addition, as we plan additional locations in the coming year, we will be making further capital commitments for facilities and equipment.”
What will be your company’s main challenges in the next year?
“Growing while maintaining an absolute commitment and dedication to a world-class customer experience and making the experience replicable at new locations.”
What’s the hottest trend in your industry?
“For the luxury day spa industry, the trend is to create a world-class, destination spa experience minutes away from the client’s home, with indulgent spa services and signature touches that leave a lasting impression and create the ultimate setting for relaxation. For the medical aesthetics industry, the newest procedures are dermal remodeling and body contouring, non-invasive laser treatments that tighten the skin to erase wrinkles through the production of healthier collagen and that contour, shape and slim the body by improving cellulite and reducing circumference of the hips, thighs, and abdomen.”
Do you have a business mantra?
“Love what you do. Share it with others.”
From a business standpoint, who do you look up to?
“My husband, Kanwar. He is driven by a powerful passion for product, people, experience and community because he knows that each of these is equally essential for any successful business.”
What was the best advice you ever received?
“Make it your own, everything matters, surprise and delight, embrace resistance and most importantly … leave your mark. I apply these five principles to every decision, interaction and action.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you in your career?
“Despite all the planning that I have done in my life, my most important successes have come from the most unexpected places. I still laugh that I thought I would be practicing traditional medicine in a hospital setting … creating a business is so much more fun!”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I relax with my family, travel, read, go on long walks … and take long naps. Oh, and every now and then, I go to a spa.”
