The Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee today will install Jeremy Shecterle, vice president for J.P. Cullen & Sons Inc., as its 2019 president.
Shecterle has served on the AGC board of directors since 2016.
Shecterle said workforce development will be a major focus of his leadership of the organization.
“Workforce development is the number one priority for the construction industry,” he said. “While AGC has led many successful initiatives in workforce development, we must work to bring innovative ideas to the forefront that will create greater diversity and attract more men and women into this outstanding industry.”
The AGC is a 100 year-old professional business association that serves over 350 commercial general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers in southeastern Wisconsin.
Other elected officers include: Mike Abuls, C.G. Schmidt, Inc. as AGC senior vice president and Mike Stern, J.F. Findorff & Son as AGC secretary/treasurer.
The 2019 AGC Board of Directors will also include Chad Bathke, VJS Construction Services; Tim Just, Berghammer Construction; Rupert Kotze, Kotze Construction; Matthew Tadisch, Selzer-Ornst Construction Co.; Kevin O’Toole, Hunzinger Construction; Kimberley Wacker, Spancrete Inc. and Dave Drumel, Staff Electric.
