The 48th annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference will take place on Tuesday, May 8, at the Italian Community Center.
The event will feature a lineup of speakers on the most pressing issues facing businesses involved in global trade.
More than 500 people are expected to attend the day-long event, which includes the Wisconsin Export Awards presented by Gov. Scott Walker and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with state trade reps from Brazil, Canada, China and Mexico.
“This event is the only one of its kind that brings together large and small businesses interested in or already active in international trade from the Milwaukee Region and beyond,” said Kurt Prange, president of the Milwaukee World Trade Association with Bentley World Packaging. “It’s a really a one-stop shop for getting up to speed on issues ranging from compliance and payment terms to practical advice for getting started in exporting.”
The lineup of speakers includes: Brad Kramer, Husco International; Bruce Glaub, vice president of Global Trade Service for BMO Harris Bank; William Braun, director of the Port of Milwaukee; and Candice Knuteson, director of export/import compliance for Derco Aerospace
