GeminiCares to close Slinger, West Bend locations

Slinger-based GeminiCares Inc. notified state officials that it will permanently end services at all 11 Wisconsin locations by May 31. As a result, 92 positions will be eliminated in West Bend and 11 in Slinger.

In total, 701 positions at all locations will be eliminated.  

GeminiCares provides home care, personal care and respite care services to thousands of elderly and disabled individuals throughout the state of Wisconsin.  The company said it will transfer clients to the care of other agencies.

Of the 92 West Bend employees, 87 are caregivers, three are supervisors and two are registered nurses. The Slinger employees are payroll and billing specialists, a financial manager and a controller, among others.

GeminiCares’ other locations are in Stevens Point, Marinette, Hayward, Neillsville, Adams, Whitehall, Eau Claire, Reedsburg and La Crosse.
