GE Healthcare to cut jobs in Wisconsin

Learn more about:

GE Healthcare, the healthcare division of General Electric that has its U.S. headquarters in Waukesha, will be cutting a number of jobs in Wisconsin.

A concrete number of jobs were not announced by the company at this time, but public relations manager Ben Fox said “around 1.5 percent of positions will be affected here in Wisconsin.”

“GE Healthcare will try to find alternative roles to mitigate any job losses, so it’s not possible to say precisely how many jobs may be impacted,” said Fox. “If an employee has not found an alternate role when their role is scheduled to be impacted, they will be eligible for various benefits including income extension aid, medical care coverage, and job training/tuition reimbursement to assist in their transition. We do anticipate these positions will be across our various businesses and functions (e.g. Sales, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Marketing).”
