The five-tenant restaurant building planned at the mixed-use Drexel Town Square development in Oak Creek will include four nationally-known chains that are currently in the Milwaukee market and a pizza restaurant, according to real estate sources.
The 10,300 square-foot building, to be located at 160 W. Town Square Way, will include a Five Guys, Potbelly, Chipotle and Orange Leaf. The fifth restaurant will be a quick serve pizza restaurant, but a lease has not been signed, according to sources.
The owner of the property, Andrew Goodman, with GMX Real Estate Group, LLC, of Northbrook, Ill., would not confirm the tenants.
The restaurants do not have drive-throughs and range in size from 1,235 square feet to 2,250 square feet.
The Oak Creek plan commission approved the site and building plans in April.
The eastern half of Drexel Town Square is a typical suburban style development, anchored by Meijer – that is where the five-tenant restaurant building will be built.
The western half of the project is designed to be more of a traditional downtown with a mixed-use Main Street, with a town square park, hotel and the new city hall and library.
Last week, Milwaukee-based Valentine Coffee Co. announced it would open its second location in Drexel Town Square, occupying space in Barrett Lo Visionary Development’s Emerald Row luxury apartment complex.
WiRED Properties, which is developing the Main Street portion of the mixed-use development is also planning to submit plans to the city of Oak Creek within 60 days to construct three new retail buildings. WiRED’s development already includes Bel Air Cantina and Pizza Man restaurants.
