Doug Marconnet has been named partner at the Waukesha-based investment banking and mergers and acquisitions advising firm Mertz Associates Inc.

Marconnet has been with the firm since 1989.

Mertz said she and Doug will lead Mertz Associates together to deliver ever increasing client value.

โ€œIndicators point to accelerated M&A activities as business owners look to either grow or exit their companies,โ€ Marconnet said. โ€œWith average tenure at Mertz of 17 years, we have a lot of bench strength and experience on our team.โ€

Waukesha-based R&R Insurance Services, Inc. has hired Carla Borda as a professional liability specialist in its commercial property and casualty team. Borda will be responsible for the design and implementation of insurance programs which include medical malpractice insurance; directorsโ€™ and officersโ€™ liability, fiduciary liability, professional and employment practices liability; and crime/employee dishonesty. She also brings expertise in network security, technology & cyber liability for securing networks โ€“ specifically patient records systems.

Borda will concentrate these product specialties for hospitals, hospital systems, physicians, allied providers, nursing homes, assisted living centers, social services agencies.

 

R&R Insurance Services, Inc. has hired Jeff Thiel, as commercial account executive in its commercial lines division. Thiel will focus on the manufacturing and health care industries.
