Collaboration is the beginning of innovation, and for Joel Brennan, president and chief executive officer of Discovery World, it’s also a way to address many of the issues our community faces.
“The issues that our community faces can’t be overcome by a single organization, but rather through the efforts and innovative solutions of many creative and passionate minds,” Brennan said.
Discovery World embarked on such a partnership with Journey House in Milwaukee.
Thanks to funds from the Zilber Family Foundation, Discovery World was able to partner with Journey House to supplement classroom education and provide guidance to help strengthen families and build an out-of-school education network based on science, innovation and creativity.
The collaboration allows students and families to travel to Discovery World for field trips, group visits and summer camps. The goal is to increase educational experiences for Journey House Students that focus on lifelong learning.
