The Greater Milwaukee Foundation


The Greater Milwaukee Foundation recently saluted three of Milwaukee's top community leaders at its 98th annual meeting held at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The organization honored Dan Bader, president and chief executive officer of the Helen Bader Foundation, with the William C. Frye Award for devoting time and funds to youth development, workforce development, and aging and Alzheimer's. Juli Kaufmann, founder of Fix Development LLC, received the Frank Kirkpatrick Award for helping develop an all-around healthier city through her company and her involvement with initiatives like the Mayor's Green Team. And Victor Barnett, founder and executive director of Running Rebels Community Organization, was recognized with the Doug Jansson Leadership Award sponsored by BMO Private Bank for opening up jobs and skills training as well as mentoring and scholarship opportunities for underserved youth. The annual meeting and awards ceremony was supported by sponsors JP Morgan, BMO Harris, U.S. Bank, and the Harley-Davidson Museum.
