Metro area home sales up 21% in August

Home sales in the four county metro Milwaukee area were up 21 percent in August, compared to August of 2011, according to the latest date from the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors (GMAR).

DNR to meet with parks group on Downtown Transit Center site redevelopment

Staff with the state Department of Natural Resources will meet today with representatives of parks advocacy group Preserve Our Parks, including a surveyor hired by the group, to review claims by the group that most of the Downtown Transit Center site was originally in the Lake Michigan lake bed.

Milwaukee housing market continues rebound

Sales of existing homes in the metropolitan Milwaukee housing market were up 21 percent in August, compared to the same month a year ago, continuing their strong performance that began in mid-2011.

MU Dental School expansion work begins this week
