Milwaukee area homes sales rose again in February

The southeastern Wisconsin housing market continued its stellar start to 2012 in February, with sales increasing 24.8 percent in the metropolitan area, according to the latest numbers released today by the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors (GMAR).

ICC picks Marcus Investments affiliate to develop Coachyards property

The Italian Community Center recently selected a division of Marcus Investments LLC to do a feasibility study for the potential redevelopment of the ICC’s 15-acre property in the Historic Third Ward. The site includes the ICC building and its large parking lots to the south of the building, known as the Coachyards.

Beerline B Apartments completed

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last week to celebrate the completion of the 140-unit Beerline B Apartments development at the northeast corner of Commerce and Pleasant, just north of downtown Milwaukee.

Restaurant planned in Menomonee Valley

Milwaukee restaurateur Russ Davis, who runs the Lakefront Palm Garden, The Red Accordian, Rio West Cantina and the Hubbard Park Lodge, plans to purchase a one-acre property with a 3,900-square-foot building at 1200 W. Canal St. in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley for $600,000. Davis plans to open a seafood restaurant in the building on the property.

Third Ward building sold

SU Real Estate Group LP, led by Michael Polaski of SURG Restaurant Group, purchased a 119-year-old building at 216 N. Water St., Milwaukee, from Dupah LLC for $615,000.
