Teens raise awareness of homelessness by sleeping in box shelters
Ten members of PEARLS for Teen Girls, Inc. at Riverside University High School in Milwaukee recently held a Box City event to raise money for Habitat for Humanity and raise awareness about homelessness in the Milwaukee community and across the country.
UPAF announces 2012 campaign goal
The United Performing Arts Fund has announced its 2012 goal of raising $10 million by mid-June. The 2012 UPAF Campaign co-chairs are David J. Lubar, president and chief executive officer of Lubar & Co. and Carlene Ziegler, managing director of Artisan Partners Limited Partnership. Dollars raised by UPAF support 36 performing arts groups in southeastern Wisconsin.

Kohl’s launches nationwide volunteer event
Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Department Stores will host its third annual Nationwide Volunteer event in April. Thousands of Kohl’s employees will volunteer in communities across the nation in celebration of National Volunteer Week and Earth Day.
