The state of Wisconsin ranks 23rd nationally in the United Health Foundation's newly released 2014 America's Health Rankings, down three spots from 2013.

Integrated Health Network to expand with two new systems

Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin, a Brookfield-based network of independent Wisconsin health care systems, has announced the addition of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System and Green Bay-based Prevea Health. 

Aurora to donate $10 million for ‘Better Together Fund’

Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care today announced a supplemental, one-time contribution of $10 million to expand and enhance a number of community health and wellness programs in eastern Wisconsin. The initiative, named the Better Together Fund, will support the expansion of primary care and behavioral health services, as well as sexual assault and domestic violence prevention and treatment programs.

Brookfield medical company receives FDA clearance for bladder leakage product

Brookfield-based InControl Medical LLC has received FDA clearance to sell its Apex Device over-the-counter and without a doctor’s prescription. Apex cures stress incontinence for the one in three women living with bladder leakage by strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor, thereby eliminating the need for pads or diapers.
