Let’s find some bipartisan agreement on regulations
As we settle in for the second presidential debate this week, it’s worth revisiting an important point that Mitt Romney made in the first debate two weeks ago. Whether you are a fan or a foe of his, one thing he did touch on was his views on regulation: “Regulation is essential. You can’t have a free market without regulation. At the same time, regulation can become excessive; it can become out of date.”
Small business lending up at Wisconsin banks
Wisconsin banks that have received capital from the federal Small Business Lending Fund have increased small business lending by $109.2 million over their baselines, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
State to put $108M in rainy day fund
The Wisconsin Department of Administration announced Monday it will deposit $108.7 million in the state’s rainy day fund, the largest amount ever allotted to the fund. The deposit will bring the fund balance to $125.4 million.

Rust-Oleum to add 16 jobs in Pleasant Prairie
