Milwaukee played host to the second annual Women in Manufacturing conference last week, attracting women from all over the country who work in the manufacturing industry to the Pfister Hotel.

The United Way of Greater Milwaukee's Executive Committee voted to make an immediate $25,000 grant to the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin, funding which will help the organization deploy volunteers to the East Coast to help in the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
