MATC to offer new apprenticeship in Oak Creek

A new industrial manufacturing technician apprenticeship program has been added at the Milwaukee Area Technical College campus in Oak Creek.

Feingold, Allen and Stossel to speak at Lakeland College

Lakeland College’s Great Thinkers Series, designed to highlight the institution’s 150th anniversary, will include lectures from national figures like Russell Feingold, Will Allen and John Stossel. The series, which begins Thursday, Aug. 30, and continues throughout the 2012-‘13 school year, will feature topics like leadership, environmental issues and business with insight from experts in each field.

City Hall Square Apartments to be sold

Tenants of City Hall Square, a two-building 135-unit apartment complex in downtown Milwaukee, were notified recently that the property will be sold by Housing Horizons LLC, a subsidiary of Kimberly-Clark Corp., to a new ownership group that includes City Hall Square Properties LLC.

Midwest Economy Index declines
