Buffalo Water Beer earns silver at local beer festival

The second annual Kohler Festival of Beer was held last weekend and Milwaukee-based Buffalo Water Beer Company’s Bison Blonde Lager took home the People’s Choice silver medal during the competition.
“Beer is the drink of the people, and this People’s Choice recognition shows that Bison Blonde is a beer for the people,” said Buffalo Water Founder and President Craig Peterson.  “I am proud this distinction was awarded by the judges we value most – the everyday beer drinkers who value good taste.”
This is Buffalo Water’s second silver medal in two years at the Kohler Beer Festival. Buffalo Water Brewing Company was formed in 2007 in an effort to create a classic brew that would compliment Buffalo wings.
“We missed the top honor by one vote,” said Peterson. “It just makes us work all that much harder to make the perfect beer.”
First place was taken by Left Hand Brewing Company from Longmont, Colo., and third was taken by Crispin Cider Company in Minneapolis, Minn.
