Thursday, Jan. 13 The Business Marketing Association of Milwaukee will host a seminar and dinner program at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St., from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The featured presentation will discuss Collaboration with Business Partners and will showcase executives from Miller Coors. Tuesday, Jan 18 The Waukesha County Business Alliance will host a Networking @ 5 event at Easter Seals Waukesha Work Center. Cost to attend is $15 for WC Chamber Members and $30 for nonmembers. Register here.

Wednesday, Jan. 19 Creativity Works!, will host a celebration at the Harley Davidson Museum, 400 W. Canal Street from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will highlight the results of the study done to quantify the value of the Milwaukee Regional Creative Industries Project. Guests can enjoy food drinks and live music and will also be introduced to the initial implementation strategies and the creative industries website that will be used to connect creative talent in the community on one network. Wednesday, Jan. 19 The Milwaukee Alliance for Economic Inclusion will host its launch event at the City Hall Rotunda, 200 E. Wells St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) is the FDIC’s national initiative to establish broad-based coalitions of financial institutions, community-based organizations and other partners in several markets across the country to bring all unbanked and underserved populations into the financial mainstream. The focus is on expanding basic retail financial services for underserved populations, including savings accounts, affordable remittance products, small-dollar loan programs, targeted financial education programs, alternative delivery channels and other asset-building programs. Friday, Jan. 21 BizTimes Media will host its annual Northern Trust Economic Trends Breakfast from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St., Milwaukee. The program will feature a panel discussion about economic and political trends that will impact the business world in 2011. Tuesday, Jan. 25 Jannsen +Company, S.C. will host a seminar entitled “Savvy Social Security Planning,” at the Jannsen Center, W239-N3490 Pewaukee Road. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will examine strategies to boost social security income under the program’s benefit guidelines. It will explain how payments are calculated and the effect of other income on benefits. It will also address many public perceptions – and misperceptions – about the health and longevity of the Social Security program. The event is free to attend but reservations are required.
