Highland Plaza, a 95,118-square-foot shopping center located along Brown Deer Road near the former Northridge Mall site on the far northwest side of Milwaukee, will be sold in an online auction on auction.com from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.
Highland Plaza, located on a 7.6-acre site at 8530-64 and 8600 W. Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, currently has an occupancy rate of 67.2 percent. Tenants include: Half Price Books, Octapharma Plasma, K&G Fashion and House of Fashion. Octapharma Plasma, which collects plasma for medical use, signed a 10-year lease that begins in January of 2016, for 15,900 square feet of space.
Highland Plaza is one of several retail properties that have struggled since Northridge Mall closed in 2003. The two-building shopping center was built in 1985 and was renovated in 2007.
The starting bid for the shopping center will be $1.35 million. A bid deposit amount of $10,000 will be required.
The listing brokers for the property are Andrew Prater and Joe Girardi of Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin.
