Brewers Community Foundation caps impactful year

Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) and the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club raised more than $2.8 million during the 2013 season, with support coming from Brewers ownership, fans, players and sponsors, along with special events throughout the year.

Over the past four years, Brewers Community Foundation has generated more than $11.5 million to support nonprofit organizations in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs.

“Mark and Debbie Attanasio have expressed sincere appreciation for all the community has done to partner with Brewers Community Foundation as we strive to play a meaningful role in improving the lives of individuals and their families within Greater Milwaukee,” said Brewers Community Foundation executive director Cecelia Gore. “I am equally grateful for the support that Brewers players and their wives, fans and other supporters have demonstrated in partnership with our organization.”

A wide variety of special events and initiatives were staged throughout the 2013 season.

Some of the nonprofit programs previously supported by Brewers Community Foundation include ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Arts at Large, Beckum Stapleton Little League, Boys & Girls Club, COA, Felix Mantilla Little League, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin, Hunger Task Force, Make-a-Wish, Sojourner Family Peace Center, UPAF, United Way, YMCA and YWCA.
