Learn more about:

A topping off ceremony was held Tuesday for the Aloft hotel building, which is being constructed northeast of Juneau Avenue and Old World Third Street, along the Milwaukee River in the Park East Corridor in downtown Milwaukee.

The five-story, 160-room hotel is expected to be complete in December. About 75 people will work in the hotel. The building will also have about 3,500 square feet of retail space and a new riverwalk segment.

The developer for the hotel is Milwaukee River Hotel LLC. Verona-based Horizon Construction Group Inc. is the general contractor for the project. The cost of the project is estimated at $27 million.
