Stephanie Maney-Hartlaub, Ph.D., serves as the senior vice president and executive director of City Year Milwaukee.
This year, she led the planning and execution of City Year Milwaukee’s inaugural Women’s Leadership Breakfast, creating a platform for mentorship, collaboration and inspiration among women leaders, according to Mina Raj, senior communications manager at City Year Milwaukee.
Under Maney-Hartlaub’s leadership, City Year Milwaukee expanded its partnerships this school year into two additional schools, Siefert Elementary School and Bradley Tech High School. At Siefert, which previously served students from third to ninth grade, the expansion includes piloting support for second-grade classrooms.
“She exemplifies leadership through action. She actively engages with students, supports AmeriCorps members, collaborates with board members, and builds partnerships with elected officials and Milwaukee Public Schools,” said Raj. “Her relationship-driven approach fosters trust and inspires collective action, amplifying City Year Milwaukee’s mission and impact. And as a mentor, Dr. Maney-Hartlaub has guided numerous educational leaders.”
