Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based technology and data analytics company Inmar Inc. informed Wisconsin officials Thursday that the company plans to close its Milwaukee facility, putting 265 employees out of work.
The 344,223-square-foot warehouse facility, built in 1966, is located at 6101 N. 64th St. Previously, it was a facility for GENCO Pharmaceutical Services.
Milwaukee-based Capital Returns, which provides pharmaceutical returns management solutions, was acquired by Pittsburgh-based GENCO Distribution Systems in 2005, which in 2010 changed its name to GENCO Pharmaceutical Services.
In February, Inmar announced it had reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Capital Returns, which operates as GENCO Pharmaceutical Services.
“We are excited at the opportunities that the acquisition presents for Inmar and for our clients,” Rob Zornok, president of global operations and executive vice president of Inmar said in a press release.
In a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce, Zornok said Inmar plans to close the Milwaukee facility and that the employees would have their positions eliminated between June 15 and Aug. 31.
The employees are not represented by a union.
