Both Wells Fargo and BMO Harris Bank have named new division leaders for southeastern Wisconsin.
Sang Kim has been hired as regional president, retail banking for Wisconsin at BMO Harris Bank. He will be based in Milwaukee and will oversee about 200 BMO Harris branches. Kim will report to Emilio Cooper, head of sales and distribution for U.S. retail banking at BMO.
Kim was previously regional president at Wells Fargo for Wisconsin and Michigan. He had worked in various leadership roles at Wells Fargo since 2003. He holds a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris Michalski, who previously served as regional president, has been promoted to head of U.S. mortgage sales for BMO. Jud Snyder is still the senior executive for Milwaukee at BMO.
“Sang’s strong leadership skills, coupled with his diverse financial acumen, will help us drive an exceptional experience for our customers throughout Wisconsin,” Cooper said. “I am excited to have him lead a talented team of professionals.”
And Robert Valcq has been promoted to regional vice president for Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking in southeastern Wisconsin, effective immediately. Valcq will lead Wells Fargo’s growing Wisconsin commercial banking market and report to Gina Peter, north central division manager.
Valcq, who has 20 years of banking industry experience, was previously senior vice president and loan team manager at Wells Fargo, and has worked for Wells Fargo for a total of 11 years. Valcq also has worked in corporate banking at Harris Bank and business banking Associated Bank.
