The promotions, completed in October and announced in December, will shuffle more administrative duties to D’Amato as Krist frequently travels across the country as well as internationally, largely for leisure.

The two executives have worked together for more than 30 years, both at WFA Staffing and other companies, including MGIC.

Krist said D’Amato has been in line for the role of president. During Krist’s weeks of travel, D’Amato has been overseeing administrative functions in the office as well as vetting issues with clients.

He deserves the title, according to Krist, as he has been a key contact for company clients.

“He’s always been one of our top sales people and recruiters,” Krist said. “He’s highly respected, and the time is right.”

Krist does not plan to retire from WFA Staffing anytime soon but will continue working in a full-time capacity, he said. By releasing a share of administrative tasks to D’Amato, he will be able to continue working with the pool of employers he assists and placing job candidates.

“What happens in our business is you develop long-term relationships with companies, and they really rely on you,” he said.

Krist does not envision that the leadership changes will significantly impact the company employee base or client base.
