At its inception, Equity had just one client and only three employees. The company quickly outgrew the 2,300-square-foot downtown location and last year moved to a 5,000-square-foot space in the Business Park of Kenosha. It now has 29 employees and works with several high-profile clients such as CNH, Johnson Controls, Summerfest, and Northwestern Mutual
“We attract clients that appreciate a good sound marketing and creative effort across the board,” Helmke said.
The company “expects to” continue to increase its staff, Helmke said. The quality of the employees has been critical to the company’s success, he said.
“I think we’ve got a great team from top to bottom,” he said. “We provide a mix of talent, creativity and service that people seem to appreciate and enjoy working with.”
The company supports the community and wants to see the downtown revitalized, Helmke said. However, the company’s move out of downtown to the Business Park of Kenosha on the city’s west side was beneficial because it made it easier for employees to commute to work and improves access to clients in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas, he said.
“We have to rely on our neighboring markets,” for employees and clients, Helmke said.
