Associated Bank launches ad campaign during NCAA championship

Associated Bank launched a new broadcast ad campaign last night during the NCAA men’s basketball championship game between the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the Duke Blue Devils.

The Green Bay-based bank ran the ads in several Wisconsin markets and in Minneapolis, ahead of their original air date. The ads ran on WDJT in Milwaukee, WISC in Madison, WFRV in Green Bay and WSAW in Wausau, as well as WCCO in Minneapolis.

The ads focused on Associated Bank’s loan offerings and customer experience, using the catchphrase “Banking without the runaround.”

“We moved quickly to bring our customer messaging to this landmark fan experience and in our own way add to the rampant excitement in Wisconsin and the region,” said Christopher Piotrowski, Associated Bank executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “This approach allows us to showcase our key points of differentiation, from our award-winning customer service and superior lending experience to our ability to provide banking without the runaround. It also elevates brand awareness for Associated Bank, while helping grow the business.”

The campaign will also include other TV ads and public radio, print and digital ads.

Associated Banc-Corp has $27 billion in assets and more than 200 branches in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, as well as consumer financial services in Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Texas.
