GoGeddit launches new video promotion service

GoGeddit.com, Milwaukee’s newest deal-site startup, recently launched a video marketing and production solution called GoGeddit TV as a way to differentiate itself from other deal sites in the marketplace.

GoGeddit TV will operate in the form of a video blog hosted on GoGeddit’s main website and will allow GoGeddit customers to have their brand and products highlighted in a professionally shot and produced GoGeddit video.

“Our main goal was to try and differentiate ourselves from other deal websites in the area but also remain focused on helping Milwaukee area companies,” said Richie Burke, president of GoGeddit.com “We want to be very versatile and we have the talent and the capabilities to offer this type of service to our customers in order to help them with their needs.”

The videos will vary in length and style, and will be professionally shot and produced by GoGeddit creative director Crystal Schreiner, a 2012 MU graduate, who has already worked with brands like Refinery 29, Macy’s and Grey Goose.

The ultimate goal is to help customers with getting traffic, building their brand or getting the word out, Burke said.

According to Burke the videos can be produced with or without running a deal on the website. “Some businesses simply do not see the value in running a daily deal offer,” Burke said. “I understand that. This is a way for those companies to still get in front of our subscriber base.”

GoGeddit has worked with more than 70 local businesses and has garnered more than 10,000 subscribers since launching last fall.

“Based on our experiences, many of Milwaukee’s businesses are looking for something much more than a promoted deal. They’re looking for assistance with some of their core marketing strategies and we have the opportunity to fill that void,” he said.

GoGeddit has already done videos for Lakefront Brewery, The Milwaukee Ale House, Pedal Tavern, the Loaded Slate and Great Lakes Distillery, Burke said.

“The video gets posted on the GoGedditTV tab on our website and we also give the company full rights to the video for use on their own website or in their marketing campaigns,” he said. “It’s great they have total control over what is featured in the video and then they have it forever.”

Cost for the video shoot and production will vary depending on what the company is looking for specifically but will start around $1200, Burke said.

GoGeddit hopes to be adding more a la carte marketing options as their team and talents continue to expand including traditional and social media marketing.
