Soerens Ford plans to build a 19,982-square-foot addition to its existing 30,352-square-foot auto dealership at 19800 W. Capitol Dr. in Brookfield.
The expansion would provide space for service order intake and write-up, vehicle clean and prep, a new showroom, truck service and car washing, according to a Brookfield staff report on the project.
The general manager for Soerens Ford did not return a phone call seeking comment.
At the same time, Jack Safro Toyota at 20445 W. Capitol Dr. wants to annex its 19.5-acre property into the City of Brookfield. The property is currently part of the Town of Brookfield.
“I believe they are rebuilding,” said Dan Ertl, director of community development for the City of Brookfield. “But they have not filed any (plans) at this point.”
