Harley CFO resigns

Harley-Davidson‘s chief financial officer and Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS) interim president Tom Bergmann is leaving the company “to seek other career opportunities,” the company announced today. Bergmann joined Harley-Davidson in 2006.

John Olin, Harley’s vice president and controller, will be the company’s interim CFO.

Olin has more than 25 years of financial leadership. Before joining Harley-Davidson in 2003, Olin served for 12 years in various financial roles at Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer Foods and Miller Brewing Company, including his responsibilities as controller of Kraft Foods’ cheese division. Earlier in his career, he held positions with financial services and specialized consulting firms including Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young).

In addition, Perry Glassgow, the company’s vice president and treasurer, will serve as the interim president of Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS). Glassgow joined HDFS in 1992 and has held progressively senior-level positions within HDFS, including controller and treasurer, before being named Harley-Davidson, Inc. treasurer in 2007.
