The Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin (UEDA) held its seventh annual Community Development Summit on June 25th at the Italian Conference Center. More than 225 participants representing a cross-section of community, government, political and business leaders attended the event, whose theme was “Transportation & Jobs: The Case for Regional Cooperation”.
Prominent officials attending this year’s event included Mayor Tom Barrett, City of Milwaukee; Michael Cudahy; Bob Dennik, Milwaukee County; County Executive William McReynolds, Racine County; Mayor Larry Nelson, City of Waukesha; Mayor Christine Nuernberg, City of Mequon; Representative Jeff Stone, Wisconsin State Assembly; Senator Lena Taylor, Wisconsin State Senate; and County Executive Dan Vrakas, Waukesha County.
