What does your daily or weekly fitness regimen consist of?
In winter, xc skiing 3 x week, walking; Remainder of year- bicycling 4-6 times per week, 5,000 miles + per year and walking 2-3 times per week

None
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
I can do more challenging events like kayaking on Lake Superior by the Apostle Islands and really gain an appreciation of nature’s natural beauty. Taking long bike rides also enhances one’s appreciation. After completing a 2-3 hour ride, I am completely relaxed and ready to take on difficult tasks
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
I have more endurance, and can stay focused on tough problems longer

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
Rising insurance premiums and health care costs affect all companies. Healthy employees are more productive.
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
Pick a plan that improves health in the key areas where employees are at high risk such as diabetes, heart attacks, etc., to try and change behavior
