Waukesha Chamber names Peters interim president

Bobbie Peters has been named interim president of the Waukesha Area Chamber of Commerce. Peters assumed her new role as interim president when Ann Nischke resigned from her position as president after winning the 97th District State Assembly Seat. Nischke’s last day was Nov. 15.
Prior to her appointment as interim president, Peters served as vice president of the chamber. In that capacity, she was responsible for event planning, pro-business advocacy, and the development and administration of all Chamber functions, activities and staff.
Peters has extensive management, fundraising and development experience and served in such capacities at GE Capital and the Arthritis Foundation.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in social welfare.
Peters is actively involved with WACCKO, Oconomowoc growth initiatives, and numerous church activities. She enjoys playing competitive volleyball, reading, and spending time with her family.
Peters lives in Oconomowoc with her husband, Alan, and son, Stuart.
