The Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee, a foundation that raises money and awards grants to support social change initiatives for women and girls, has named a new executive director.
Lisa Attonito will assume the role on Oct. 31. Former Women’s Fund executive director Margaret Henningsen retired earlier this month.
Attonito has worked as a consultant on the Sojourner Family Peace Center capital campaign and as an executive with a nonprofit organization called Junior Achievement Wisconsin. She has a business degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
“We are very happy to have Lisa on our team,” said Women’s Fund Board President Susan Hickey. “Her background and knowledge is a perfect fit to lead efforts as we continue to grow. We will leverage Lisa’s experience to help shape the future direction of the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee.”
