Women & Girls Fund of Waukesha County names new director

The Women & Girls Fund of Waukesha County has named Michelle DuBord executive director.

DuBord has directed multiple organizations and charitable programs in the greater Milwaukee area. From 2006 to 2015, she held multiple leadership positions at the United Way of Waukesha County before the group merged with the Milwaukee United Way branch. She also worked as executive director of Safe & Sound of Waukesha and, most recently, as a major gifts director at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

DuBord took office Dec. 12.

“We are honored to have Michelle join the WGF team,” said Mary McNulty, chair of the WGF Board of Trustees. “She is highly respected in the community and comes with an expansive set of skills. Her experience, her passion for the mission of non-profits and her proven ability as a fundraiser will help the WGF grow.”

The Women & Girls Fund was established in 2004. The group awards grants to local nonprofit agenices to support projects and programs designed to promote the welfare, independence and self-sufficiency of women and girls of all ages.

“I am excited to be part of an organization dedicated to appreciating the unique talents and strengths of women and girls in Waukesha County, and I am honored to serve as a catalyst in mobilizing others working for the advancement of women and girls,” DuBord said. “I look forward to joining the network of people in the greater Waukesha community dedicated to empowering women and girls.”

DuBord is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University and earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Carroll University.
