Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year nominees include several from Milwaukee area

The annual Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year awards will be presented on Feb. 24 at The Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee – and there have been 53 companies nominated for the 2010 program, up from 40 in 2009.

The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year program is presented by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP and Baker Tilly.

“This increased number of nominees is encouraging as it shows manufacturers feel positive about business this past year,” said Jim Haney, president of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. “Our state’s manufacturing sector is poised to have an even greater 2011 as we continue to pull through the recovering economy. Wisconsin is home to some of the greatest manufacturers in our nation, that hasn’t changed.”
