Wisconsin employers earn well workplace awards

Seven Wisconsin employers, including several Milwaukee-area companies, have received Well Workplace awards from the The Wellness Council of America and the Wellness Council of Wisconsin. The Well Workplace Award recognizes an organization for its commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, and is awarded to employers throughout the nation.
Dean Health Plan of Madison, Miles Kimball Co. of Oshkosh; Logistics Health Inc. of LaCrosse, and UnitedHealthcare of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and Green Bay were awarded the Gold Well Workplace Award. Southeastern Wisconsin’s Educators Credit Union and Werner Electric Supply Company in Racine received the Silver Well Workplace Award and Burkwald & Associates in Pewaukee received the Small Business Well Workplace Award. Nearly 50 employers in the state of Wisconsin have earned a well workplace designation since 2008, said Theresa Islo, director of operations at the Wellness Council of Wisconsin.
“These organizations all worked hard to successfully meet the rigorous standards set by the Well Workplace process,” said Jessica Raddemann, executive director of the Wellness Council.  “It is our pleasure to recognize them as the newest Wisconsin employers to achieve Well Workplace status.”
