Wild Flour Bakery expands to fifth location

Organizations:

Wild Flour Bakery & Café will expand into the organic bread business by opening a new production and retail facility in East Troy.

The new location is expected to open in June and will create up to 15 new jobs.
“Wild Flour is very excited about expanding our wholesale offering in Southeastern Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota,” said Josh Mertens, vice president of Wild Flour.  “Not only are we bringing back the famous Nokomis bread lines, but this is also an opportunity for us to bring our existing Wild Flour products to the East Troy area.  We are looking forward to being a part of the community.”
Wild Flour will reopen the former Nokomis Bakery at W2463 County Road ES and will reintroduce 14 varieties of Nokomis organic and wheat-alternative breads. Wild Flour will utilize the outdoor wood-burning oven to bake breads and will mill organic grains on site.  Additionally, the retail store will feature Café much like the present Wild Flour Bakery Café locations in Milwaukee. Wild Flour currently features 4 locations at 2800 W. Lincoln Ave, the Bay View Neighborhood, Grand Avenue Mall and South Milwaukee, 1205 Milwaukee Ave.
