What’s next for Milwaukee? Futurist will discuss at annual Commercial Real Estate Conference

It is an exciting time in Milwaukee. The downtown has experienced a renaissance in recent years with several new apartment buildings, hotels, restaurants, the Northwestern Mutual Tower & Commons and Fiserv Forum. More is on the way including a new performance hall for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and a redevelopment of the former Shops of Grand Avenue.

Several major developments area transforming suburban areas as well including The Corners of Brookfield, The Corridor in Brookfield, Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek, 84South in Greenfield to name a few.

Plus, with the Democratic National Convention coming to Milwaukee in 2020, and some of the nation’s biggest sports stars playing here, the Milwaukee area is gaining a new level of national and international attention.

Can Milwaukee take advantage of this momentum and newfound attention and catapult itself into a world-class city?

Milwaukee native and futurist Michael Perman, who has worked with several major brands during his career including Nike, Adidas, Williams-Sonoma, Levi’s, Gap, Starbucks, Del Monte, General Mills, Google and Hyatt Hotels, will examine what lies ahead for Milwaukee as the keynote speaker at the 17th annual BizTimes Media Commercial Real Estate and Development Conference.

“I think cities bloom from advocating for the right anchors that attract people,” Perman said. “I will share core cultural and business trends that commercial real estate professionals can think about as catalysts for the future.”
